Mr. Shafer,

I am searching for information on my ggGrandmother, Sallie Brown Denison. She was born in Illinois, though her parents were from Virginia originally. In 1862, she was in Prarie County, Arkansas, where she married a young soldier named John S. Perry who died in the war. She wound up in Dallas for the 1870 census with her daughter Ida Lee Perry, and a G.W. Denison, wife Grizzell and son Joseph P. Denison (2yrs old).

Sallie Brown Denison married my gggrandfather Harry May of London England, in 1875, and they settled in Decatur, TX where she is buried.
