— Joe was born on May 9, 1927 in Payden, OK to John Wesla and Mary Etta (Craig) Denison. On June 2, 1973, he married Donna Lee Hill, who survives.

— Before retiring in 1985, he worked for 40 years for McDonald-Douglas in Huntington Beach, CA.

— He enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening.

— Survivors include his wife, Donna Denison of Canyonville; four children, Joe Denison and his wife Rose, Debra Maciel, Sheila Mangino, and Chris Hill; a sister, Mary Butterfield; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, Arrangements; Perl Funeral Home, Medford.
