let me give a little back ground, My gggrandmother was 1/2 or all native american, and was married to John C Hicks from Virginia. John C died on a towboat on the ohio river or mississippi, just a few months before my ggrandfather Edward Dennison Hicks was born. I don't know if Dennison was part of her family names or His. I don't know anymore about either of them except she remarried when Ed was 4 or 5 and had another another Charlie Stewart.

I was hoping someone could give me information on Dennison
Irene Hicks was born ca 1821 and we thing John C was born about the same year, I'm just guessing on that one.

Edward Dennison Hicks was born on 17, Feb 1851 in California, Kentucky.

I hope you can have info anything on Dennison bibles etc that might show a cousin or aunt related.
I am at a brick wall.

Thanks

There is a CW pension file for Bazel F. Dennison, applied March 1885 in Kansas. The index card shows the correct service for your Basil. That file would likely give the date and place of death since the pension would cease upon his demise. I see by the census he was in Nebraska in 1900. Contact me personally and I may be able to assist you as I go to DC a lot.
jeloise68 at yahoo.com

Hi,

I found your posting on Fay Dennison and I'm intrigued by your info. I've been looking for info on Ellsworth L. Dennison who died in 1982 who I think is the father of the Fay Ellsworth Dennison you're talking about. I just got Ellsworth's obit and it lists his brothers to be Harry, Fred, Leeland, Leonard, and Clifford so we must be talking about the same person.

What can you tell me about Fay Ellsworth Dennison and his brother Robert? Their families? My interest in the Dennisons stems from a cousin of mine named Aurel Brown who was married to Ellsworth Dennison. I've been trying to find info on her and any of her children. If you know anything regarding her, let me know.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi. Indeed it is me. I found my family and went to visit right before Easter. So I have met them, and stay in contact. I am very blessed to have had this happen. By the way, if you were the person that knows my brother, please tell him now. He's curious as to who had written me and knew him. Thank you for your support. This has been so worth the journey.

ylmom2

Hello,

I'm not sure my ggrandfather was born in CAlifornia, Kentucky. Near Alexandria. His father died before he was born. John C Hicks, on a tow boat.

Edward Dennison Hicks is my GGrandfather and his nephew also was given the name Edward Dennis Stewart. Ed had a 1/2 brother. Named Charles Stewart.

So I was hoping I could get some info or something. Eds mother was said to be either all or 1/2 Native American Named Irene. She was born in Kentucky so was her mom but her father came from Virginia (Maybe W.Virginia)

I guess this was a wishful fishing expedition.

Any of these people in your family tree anywhere or even prospects.

Thanks for responding.

Doris

I am just wondering if you were ever to find your family? It has been some months since I have been on here. I think I heard through the grapevine that the family in MA met a long lost family member and I remembered hearing something about them being from the ILL area. I hope you have found what you searched for so long to find.

I am sure that he is curious and I would love to have given him that information, but I would rather just stay out of it. I am happy enough knowing that I was able to help in some form, or at least I hope I helped. My story as to why I wish to remain anonymous is a long one, and quite complicated at that. If I told you, I am afraid it would only cause drama and discontent and I feel that enough damage has already been done in the past. To answer some of your previous questions no I am not related to them in any why. How I am even found your posting on the website was actually just a day when I was at work. I was bored and I just started googling names of people I know. Your brother just happened to be one of them and I found your posting and was like hmmm I think I know who this person is talking about so I wrote back to you, They are very nice people: Arlen his wife and his two sons. I am a friend of one of his sons.
All in all I am glad that your search is over. It always very touching to hear of long lost family members being reunited.
