I'm looking for info on the Samuel Denny who was in Wayne County Ky in the early 1800's-He was one of the founding members of the Union City Baptist Church in 1812. His children were Samuel Jr., Crews, Robert, John, Mary, Susan, Rebecca and Arthur. My gr gr grandfather was Arthur who married Frances (Fanny)Rhodus Nov. 15, 1837. They had one child, Robert Brewer Denny b. Oct 28, 1838 d. Jan 24, 1921 (my great grandfather) Arthur died in 1839 and Fanny and Robert Brewer Denny moved to Franklin County Missouri (probably around 1844). One of Arthur's brothers Robert also moved to Missouri at the same time and settled in Platte County Mo.
In a letter to his son written in 1911 Robert says of his grandfather Samuel Denny, "I think they were from Pennsylvania before going to Kentucky." He also writes that Samuel married a Crews.
There seem to be a million Samuel Dennys. Does anyone have information on this one. I have all (or most) of the descendants of Arthur Denny and Fanny Rhodus if anyone is interested.
I'm very new to this so please forgive me if this message doesn't follow the usual form (if such exists)
