Tom was a common name in my family with two Tom's (my paternal gf and ggf) They were Tom not Thomas as far as I know but my ggf was born in 1861 in North newbald (registered in Beverley). Although Patrington is not too far away it is hard to know if we might be related but there are a lot of Dent's in East Yorkshire. Thomas Dent born 1762 could my ggf's gf, but at the moment I have not traced his family. Do you know if there might be a link to my ggf.
