Searching for any Denys that lived in Washington County of New York in 1780-1840 or earlier. I found my McNitt (Alexander & his children) line there on the 1790 census in the township of Argyle. There were a couple of Dinys and Dennes/Dennys (writing in census ledger was hard to read) listed in same town. The McNitts and Dennys are related by marriage of a John Denny(b 1815/16) to Lucetta McNitt in Jefferson Co,NY. Seems they went to western New York area. Would appreciate any info on Denys/Dinys Lines of NY.
