There is a lot of misinformation out there concerning the origins (or lack thereof) of Pierre Dépot b. ca. 1800.

With the help of Pierrette Despots, I was able to trace back Pierre's origins. Pierre Narcisse Dépot b. 23 dec 1799, St-Antoine sur Richelieu, s/o Joseph Louis Dépot and Suzanne Brault.
m Suzanne Tchinouk, 1830, St-Lewis, Marion, OR.
m Marg. Klamack, 23 jan 1839, Stella Maris Mission, OR.
m Elisabeth "Lisette" Gagnon, 23 aug 1858,St-Lewis, Marion, OR.
D 26, b 28 apr 1868, St-Lewis, Marion, OR.
