Beulah B Deramus Case #112365

To any with information of Beulah Bell
Have found more info of the death of grandmother Beulah Bell Nov 23 1965. From old court records and document both family and state. We have been able to piece together last week of her life, and the events leading up to her death. Witness statements and first hand account has already helped me solve Case #JD72434 the murder of my great-grandfather Jim Deramus in Chambers County in 1934. I am now asking for help once again to solve the mystery of Beulah Bell. Not the who extensive research has provided enough clue to name that person. I am more interested in any friends or anyone that knew her. Therefore i am seeking anyone that has information on the Deramus Family of Autauga County Alabama from 1944 to 2010. Friends or enemies anyone; that can help.
Thank you all for all your help.
May the angles fly with you.
Veronica Daniels

Looking for mother to Elsa (Elssie) Viola DeRamus (nee King)

I'm searching for the maiden name of my great-great grandmother. I know from my father that her name was Etta (or possibly Edna), she is listed on the 1910 Census for Precinct 15, Chilton, Alabama as "Etner". She married Joseph F. King sometime before 1892 and had 8 children that I have names for and am certain of: *Elsa (Elssie) Viola b. 1892 (my great grandmother; married a DeRamus), Robert Worthy b. 1896, Melvin b. 1897, *Aezareen b. 1903 (married a *McKinley), *Olivia b. 1905, Alford (or Alfred?) b. 1906, *Lula b.1908, & *Effie G. b.1914 (married Orton (or Orten) Langham). Names with a * I am 100% certain are accurate.

If anyone has any information at all, I would love to hear from you. Reply to joyce.jegen@sbcglobal.net

Thank you in advance for any help you have to offer!

Hi,
Just wondered if you ever found your DeRamus family? There is a wonderful AA journalist/writer who writes for the local paper id Detroit (The News or Free Press I think). She has also written a few books. She spells her name just as I have entered it. Hope this helps. Maybe you can Google her name. Her first name is Betty and I met her when I worked for the Michigan Chronicle while in High School.

Take care,
Denise

Please send me your e-mail address cousin. All DeRamus folks in the USA go back to Joseph DeRamus who came over from Swissland about 1732. His son John was in the Rev.War
John`s son George came to Alabama in the 1820s. George Jr. left Ala to go west and left many DeRamus`s in Ark and Louisana.I need to know more about Fannie if you know.I have over 5,000 desendants of Joseph in the Family Tree Program, but did not find your Fannie.
Cooper

I am a DeRamus descendant also, from Prattville. If you find anything about the DeRamus family, I would like to know. I am new to trying to find my descendants and all of the older people have passed away.I know my family extends to the Chavers family. My ggrandfather was Tom DeRamus and his wife was Molly. I think they are buried at Big Springs Baptist Church. My grandfather was Ike DeRamus and his wife is Susie. Any help would be wonderful. Thank you.
DeRamus' of Alabama

Veronica: I married into the DeRamus family. I was told this by an old-timer: There were several DeRamus' that had slaves and when the war was over and the slaves were freed, some of the slaves took their masters name. In the DeRamus family the Blacks took the spelling as Deramus and the whites had the spelling of DeRamus. There are a lot of whites that spell it with a small r now (Deramus). I do not know how true it is. I have known over the years of several blacks having the Deramus name. I know of a Deramus family..but don't know their first name. They used to live in DeBerry, Texas. My husband has a cousin that lives there and she told me that, that family was black. You might get their phone number from information. I don't know if this helps you or not. Hope you have luck on tracing your family tree.*******Janice

I don't know if it's any connection to myself, or to you, but thought the information might shed a new light for you.
