Have been searching since 1993 for a CPL Frederick C. Derby, USMC. In DEC of 1943, he was stationed at Parris Island, SC and was a member of the Motor Transport Company. It is alleged he married a female Marine, while stationed at Parris Island. It is possible he was sent to fight on one of the islands towards the end of WWII. Do you know this individual?
