Connection between Derby and DeRemer??

Surnames: Derby, DeRemer
Does anyone have information on a connection between Derby and DeRemer (my family's surname)? I've done fairly extensive research on the DeRemer side, but I found a photo of a little girl named Louise (or Louisa, not sure) Derby in my family's old photos...it looks like it's from the late 1800's or early 1900's.
