I have found numerous account of him in the Alexandria Argus newspaper. Most called him Bertram Sebastion DeRidder. He was the town painter, houses, stores, barns, you name it. He became sick and died from lead poisoning. I have his obituary somewhere, can give it to you, if you'd like. His wife married two more times before dying. Both are buried at the Alexandria cemetery, Alexandria, Nebraska. Hattie Deridder and her husband Joe Fritchie are buried there also. I'd love information on the DeRidder family.
