My grandfather was Adele DeRoo, born in Belgium in Aug. 9th, 1894. Immigrated to Mishawaka, Indiana because of employment possiblities at the Ball Band Plant. Big community of Belgiums in Mishawaka. He was the oldest child of 13 children, 4 were sisters. Had a brother named Remi, wife, Maria Virginie DeLauw, lived in Detroit. Also, believe had some siblings who moved to Moline, IL. My mother, Clara DeRoo Coffelt, daughter of Adele is still alive, but does not know enough infor. to share. Alot of Adele's siblings stayed in Belgium. Does anyone out there have any infor. to share?
