OK, I'm confused.

For William I have the following:

William (Edwin or Edward or Dennison) DeRousse. He was known by some in our family as 'W.E.' and I believe those initials are on some family heirlooms. Date of birth I have is: 24 Oct 1874 in Illinois. Census records also show him as being born in Illinois, but definitely winding up in MO.

Everything else you shared matches, with some allowance for name spellings.

My great-grandfather's name was William DeRousse b. 24 Oct 1874 in Illinois then moved to MO. He had at least one sister and they were orphaned at an early age. William appears to have been adopted or fostered by a family named Kerlagon. William married Effie Pratte in 1902 in St. Francois, MO.

I'm not certain about anyone beyond William and am searching for his family. His father might have been named August and he may have married Lavina or Elvina Pepin or Papin in 1872 in Randolph Co, IL, but again, I'm not certain.

Does any of this fit with the Joseph DeRousse family that you are researching?

I too am looking for information on Anna DeRousse. My Grandmother I believe was Bertha May Jones sister. Francis Lee Jones. Father Thomas and Mother was Anna DeRousse. Francis married Cecil Underwood so we may be in the same line. Please contact me.

The pictures would be greatly arrpeciated if ou run across where you seen them at let me know. I have jut recently started my research again. but over the 6 years I have gotten most of my info on Ransom and his wives from family members have grown my tree to over 3000 names from my husbands side and mine combined. Again any info is greatly appreciated. I would love to add a picture to my ancestors names, I would love to see if any of my children resemble my ancestors. I have recently been in contact with one of Ransoms sisters family members. This is geat.

Hi. I thought I would make a comment on your posting. My GrandMother (Nettie Jo Edmondson, Cole, Boone was married to Ransom T. Boone. I think she was his fourth wife. Through the years I had heard that all of his previous wife's (Ransom) had died either in child birth and or fairly soon after the births of their children. When my GrandFather got married to my GrandMother (about 1915, I believe) he had three daughters: Bertha, Virginia and Vivian. I believe their Mother's maiden names were DeRousse, Ribley and Brimmage. My GrandMother Boone had two: Cecil Lee Cole, and Grace Cole. Together they had Ruth Truman Boone (about 1917). I had heard from my Aunt Ruth that Peter DeRousse had moved with them down to Wachuala, Florida sometime in the 1920's in a Model A Ford. I don't know if he stayed here or not. Also, I believe he was French. I had always wondered how he was connected to the family. I had thought he was a Father-In-Law, but it looks like he was a GrandFather to Bertha. All of the girls ended up living in Florida except for Grace Cole. She ended up in Texas. This is about all I know of him. I think at one time I had come across some photos of him about a year ago, but now I don't know where I found them on here. If I locate them again, I will let you know. I don't know if this helps you any, please I thought I would give it a try.

First of all forgive me i'am new at this ancestry. 1- my records show augustus born may 6 1847. his father and mother was alexander and marie levery. marie was alexander second wife. they had 4 children marie angelique baptism feb.6 1838, jean baptiste derousse b. oct. 12 1840 julie desiree b. july 27 1845.augustus and elvina pepin maried oct 6 1865 their children was willian dennison b dec 30 1873 st. genevieve and marie louise b april 16 1876 st. gen. my grand mother was odelia ellen derousse daughter of william. don't thank its augustus son, but realy don't know. this info from lola mae gendron boba volume. hope i help

Have you found more information? I just found reference to a Joseph E DeRousse in my line that I was unaware of. Likely born in Kaskaskia in 1879, but it's also possible that he was born in St. Genevieve.

I am trying to track the DeRousse clan that includes August DeRousse married to Elvina Louise Pepin. August may have been born in Kaskaskia, IL - Elvina may have been born in St. Genevieve. They both died young, but left two children - William and Marie Louise.

William was apparently fostered by the Kerlagon family. I have information on his descendents, but nothing on Marie Louise or August and Elvina's ancestors.

Effie Elizabeth Pratte was daughter of John or Byron Augustus Pratte, Jr and Philomen Mary Aubuchon.

I have Philomen's parents listed as Bazil Antoine Moise or Moyin Aubuchon and Melanie Celeste Pepin (Papin) dit LaChance.

The oldest Aubuchon I have listed is Antoine Tonish Aubuchon.

Augustus Derousse (Alexander "Alexis", Jean Baptiste, Marie Josephine Turpin, Louis, Marie Charlotte Beauvais, Jacques Beauvais Dit Saint Gemme, Gabriel Beauvais, Francois) was born May 06, 1847. He married Elvina Louise Pepin Oct 03, 1872.

My mother's grandmother was Sophia DeRousse born in 1859 in Prairie DuRocher, IL. Sophia's father was Edmund (Edmond) DeRousse. Do you have any information on his parents? I'm guessing you probably have this information by now or have given up, but just in case.

Pelagie Derousse married Antoine Cotineau on Oct. 16, 1809 at Kaskaskia. She was the daughter of Jean Baptiste Derousse and the deceased Angelique Royer.

Antoine Cotineau was the widower of Marie Louise Danis and the son of Antoine Cotineau and Elizabeth.....

Pelagie Derousse died at Fort de Chartres July 3, 1749, supposedly aged 62.

I also have the names of quite a few of the Cotineau-Derousse children if you are interested. I would be interested in comparing information.

I am looking for anyone with information on Mary Euphenie Derousse, b. Mar 1879, d. May 1901, passed away in Paragould, Arkansas. after my gGrandmother was born. m. Ransom Truman Boone.

Only child Bertha Agnes Boone, My nana says that Mary Euphenie must have had a brother named Joe/Joseph, because she always refered to him as uncle Joe.

Peter Derousse was mary's father, I have found him living with Ransom and his 4th wife and the children in Randolph, Arkansas, there was no spouse listed with him.

Anyone with any info. Please let me know, it would be greatly appreciatted.

My mother's second husband was Willard DeRousse,
her name was Virginia Roselee DeRousse (nee Jordan).
She was born in Saint Louis, or nearby in 1917, died St. Charles Mo. 1993.

She went by the name Ginny, was a muscian, dance instructor, restauranteur, and mother of 3.
