My name is Lisa Martinelli. My mother is Carolyn (Derig) Huffman. Her parents were William and Josephine Derig of Seattle Washington. I believe his Uncle is the William and Katie mentioned in your posting. My Great-great grandfather, Willaim came from County Mayo Ireland to Montreal about 1842,43. He married Briget Ryan, an orphan, also from County Mayo Ireland in 1852. I have been researching our family tree for some time and just came into posession of a letter from an Edna (Quinn) Gates, niece of Michael Quinn, dated 1966. She had written my grandfather, William to help establish a some family timelines and the lettr was just forwarded to me by my mothers eldest sister, Geraldine Derig. I think this is the same Derig clan...what do you think?
