She married Emile Bellet or Bellett. As far
as I know they only had one child,
Alexander Charles Bellett, born May 13, 1892
at Braidwood, IL and died May 1967 at Hazel Park, MI.

I'm looking for ancestors of Mary Ann LeFevre who married Henry Cable in Norfolk, England, before emigrating to Ontario via Kingston in 1831. Any connection to your LeFevres?

I am not sure how to send this back. What a lot of info, not sure how to start. Louis Bellett's step mothe was Felecia, he did have brothers, Amile and Zeke. No info about where or when they were born. Their wives on passed on, so it is a dead end there. Amile had a daughter named Ann, I am trying to contact and get what I can from her. I know Louis was born in Coal City, Illinois in 1890. I will try and have a copy made of Felecia - I never heard of a Alexander... when then sometime they were not as close or a mis-understanding "tore" families apart. Still trying to get it all gathered so will keep in touch. May I ask where you live now? I live in Virginia

Thanks for the information. According to my grandfather's social security application his mother was Felecia Descamps and his father was Emile Bellett. My Grandfather Alexander C. Bellett died in May 1967 in Michigan and was born May 13, 1892 in IL. His parents came to the USA just before he was born.

According to another source Louis would have been the brother of my grand-father as he had siblings with the same names
as Louis. The fact that Louis states that Felecia Descamps was his step-mother suggests tha Alexander was Louis's half-brother.

I would appreciate the dates if you would send them. Do you have any pictures that could be digitized and e-mailed of Louis or his parents? I have nothing but a bad xerox copy of a photo of my grandfather. Where was the marriage ?
Can you also provide places as well as dates?

Also you didn't indicate whether Emile Bellett was the father of Louis ( I'm assuming this is the case but want to be 100% certain) ?

My father in law - Louis Bellett had a stepmother - her name was Felecia Descamps... I have a picture and a marriage license of their marriage... can look up the date if interested. That was a long time ago.. Louis had a brother named Emile, Zeke and a sister Amelia.... Louis would be about - can't remember his birthdate.... been deceased 37 years.

Hi , One of my ancesters was Maria Jacoba Descamps , she married my great great grandfather John Baptiste Lefevre in Belgium My grand father was John Peter Lefevre , he and his wife Amelia Vandamme came to Michigan in 1865 with their family.

Hi Karel,
And yes I am sure of the date he was born it was
October 4, 1901 he Married a woman by the name of Lorraine
Moore.....they had 3 children Muriel, Shirley George Jr.
they also live in Detroit ...they belonged to a church called
Guardian Angles....My grandfather was a ham operator and worked for
Packers untill he retired ....I hope this gives you enough info to
see if we are somehow related we can't find anything out on him
I am one of the daughers of Shirley .....

I know of a George Descamps who may have been adopted by Descamps. Is it that he may have lived in Detroit? Are you absolutely sure of his birthdate? I know of one born during the same year, but it's off by 2 months. I would love to correspond. Plz e-mail me.
