A gentleman who left Cynthiana on Sunday morning last, states that on the Saturday mornnig preceding, Isaac B. Desha, confined for the murder of Francis Baker, made an effort to take away his own life, by cutting his throat. He was so far successful as to cut his windpipe nearly in two, and vitally affect the roots of his tongue. His physicians deemed his recovery hopeless. >>> A report has reached here, tho' not well authenticated, that Desha died about 12 o'clock on Sunday.
