My great great Grandfather was Robert DeSha, Married to Emma Cary, of N.C. Inherited a plantation, in Alabama, from his French family. He had 2 daughters,Elizabeth Cary DeSha and Julia DeForest DeSha. Julia DeForest was my grandmother, married to John Woodson Stone. Robert DeSha abandoned his family in Alabama, when the girls were young, and they never heard from him again. There is a DeSha, connected with the Lyndon Baines Johnson family in Texas. Also there is a DeSha Arkansas, where they think Robert DeSha ended up. Thats about all I know, other than this Robert DeSha was a pretty sorry individual. Cary DeSha and Julia DeForest DeSa.
