Desjardins - Owen Sound, Ontario - late 1800's

Hi ,
I would like to hear from any relatives of the Desjardins (David Desjardins)who lived around the Owen Sound area in the latter part of 1800. I have a book called "Reminiscence of Sydenham North" which mentions the Desjardins, the Jones, and the Cotures. They were some of the best fisherman and boatsmen around.
I am trying to find more information regarding my ggggrandfather Joseph Couture/Coture, and I am hoping you may have perhaps a marriage or baptism that might list a Couture as a sponsor, or may have a story that has been handed down.
I am also interested to know if these Desjardins were related to Charles Desjardins who was on Drummond Island, MI around 1828.
