I am Bob Dessommes from New Orleans. Andre and Emma had three children.
Andree Marie,Lawrence and twins Charles and Heber. Do you want the dates ?I know that Lawrence's middle name was Forno. I do not have any info about the Fornos.

I would love to share info regarding the Forno family. I have done a fair amount of research, but just recently located Elizabeth Forno Garretson. I knew my great great grandfather George W. Forno had a sister named Elizabeth, but did not know whom she married. It was not until last month that I found a birth record for Henry F. Garretson and suspected a connection, but the mother's maiden name was listed as Torno. What is your relationship to the Fornos? Please feel free to contact me directly. I am also interested in the Forno family of LA. Our line comes from Henry Forno. His daughter, born about 1837, married into the Garretson family, which is our line. George W. was Elizabeth's brother, as you can see on the 1850 census. Would be exchange information with you.

I am certain we are talking about the same family. I found a census record form 1920 that lists an Andre and Emma Dessommes with sons Lawrence, Heber and Charles. Do these names ring a bell. I am researching the Forno side of the family and trying to determine if Lawrence J. Forno was the brother or the cousin of my great-great grandfather George Washington Forno. I was hoping that contacting the extended family might provide new information about the Forno's. I have attached the family tree of Lawrence J. Forno, Emma's father. I'm not sure if I know of the individuals, but my paternal grandfather was Lawrence Forno Dessommes, b. 1907, his mother being a Forno, and his sister was an Andre who married a Dessommes cousin--once married, her name was Andre Dessommes Dessommes. I will ask my father and reply again later.

I am Renee Dessommes, b. 1980 Albany, Georgia, to Lawrence K. Dessommes, of New Orleans-Dallas-of Lawrence F. Dessommes and Julia Kelly Dessommes. I am now living in Tampa, Florida. I received some very encouraging messages earlier this year from distant relatives in Mexico and Equador. Thank you!

Dessommes seems to be a variant of early DESSORME.
I would like to establish a possible linkage with Jean (or John)Baptiste Dessorne, (B.1874)
with the Dessornes (or Dessormes)from Coulommiers (France) and also with Desorne from Paris (about1650).
