Can you believe this??? Jennie must be the "female" born in 1907. They hadn't named her yet!!! And of course there is not image yet so we can find out the exact date of birth...ARGH!
Remind me in a few months and I will check again...they have been slow lately, but last I knew they were starting to add the images up to about 1905...so eventually it will be available I hope! Usually, the image will give residence, place of birth obviously, address, place of birth and occupation of parents and parents' names...but atleast you would have the exact date.
Last Name First Name Town/Village Year Vol Page Type Original Image Non-Plugin Image
Diodato Verginia Boston 1909 585 478 Birth image not available image not available
diTata (Female) Boston 1907 569 347 Birth image not available image not available
DiTata Beatrice Boston 1908 577 179 Birth image not available image not available
Ditato Eleonora Boston 1910 595 49 Birth image not available image not available
8. Additional email info:
I posted a reply on the message board that I had found them in 1910 too...on Chestnut St. Wilmington indexed as "Clatalio"...
I did just finally find Eleonora Ditato's birth in the Mass VR to 1910 Index...the image is not available yet on NEHGS, so all that it shows is that she was born in 1910 in Boston; Vol 595, pg 49.
Again, I think I would try the National Archives in Waltham for a naturalization record for Antonio to find out what Jennie's given name was. http://www.archives.gov/northeast/boston/index.html
Also, the Wilmington Memorial Library may have old directories which might help you out...or perhaps other records.
if Jennie was "put away", I am trying to think of where she would have been put...I grew up in Tewksbury, so I am familiar with the area...
The Tewkbury Alms House/Hospital was generally used for Tuberculosis cases and apparently for the poor...I am not sure about mental illness...but I would guess it could be a good possibility that she may have been sent there. There is a website now...someone is posting what records are left from there and there have been efforts to clean up the cemeteries on the property (most graves only marked with a small metal marker and a #)...she is only up to 1910 on the records, though. Maybe if you contact her she could just check for you.http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~tewksburyhospital/c...
It seems like in the 1920 & 1930's the hospital was geared more toward housing people in "need of supervised care"...whatever that means.
Have you tried to get the actual cemetery records where the others are buried? Sometimes there are people buried in the family plot with no marker or stone. I have come across that more than once. The only other thing I can think of is the try the Mass. Registry of Vital Records for her marriage...and therefore if there was a marriage; their divorce which may give some clues...but you would need to pin down dates for that. The Registry's website is:http://mass.gov/?pageID=eohhs2terminal&L=5&L0=Home&a...
; ;L2=Departments+and+Divisions&L3=Department+of+Public+Health&L4=Programs +and+Services+K+-+S&sid=Eeohhs2&b=terminalcontent&f=dph_vital_record s_g_about&csid=Eeohhs2
They have birth, marriage and death from 1916 to the present and divorces from 1956 to present...I think divorces prior to that are stored at county repositories...they could probably tell you where the file (if there is one) would be. You may want to try the Wilmington Town Clerk if you are trying to determine whether Jennie and Raymond Webster were ever actually married...it looked like they were neighbors in 1920.
Well, good luck...this one is going to take some work! Somewhere out there are records of wherever she went...they are just hiding.
Yes, I had found the Draft Registration and the 1920 Census.. Found all the other children. Antonio De Tato, Di Tato, Diodato came to America 7 Oct 1903 ship Vancouver , and Antoniette Lattie came to America 31 May 1906 Boston Passenger List ship "Romanic".. Jennie is now the big question..
