DETIENNE, VARNER
My mom is a DETIENNE whose father, Archie Robert DETIENNE, 1903-1937, died young. Many of the Detiennes moved to Montana & Washington. I would like to re-establish connections with family members who are interested in genealogy. My great-uncle Louis DETIENNE, now deceased, lived in Bremerton and was my only west coast contact. I have some family info from Neil VARNER, but have no address for him. My line goes as follows: Rob Esse < Bethyl Detienne < Archie Detienne 1903-1937 < Joel Detienne 1869-1935 < Etienne Detienne 1824-1909. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Belgium DeTiennes

Greetings to you Claude. My son and grandson just returned from Brussels when they had gone with a church group to build a church. Unfortunately, there was no time to do any researching. He did bring back some names from the phone book that some kind soul looked up for him. I need to check the names out to see if any of them have e-mail. I'm afraid that phoning would probably be a little more expensive than my budget would allow. It's good to know that there are some from Belgium in contact with those of us in the USA.
I would enjoy hearing about you.
Pat

Greetings from Belgium, the country where it all began :-)
After a long time of internet silence, i am plugged again. I had been contacted by several members of the community, namely Rob Esse and Donna Detienne Martinez but was not able to reply to them. Now I am fully plugged again and can contribute to your researches if you want. I am not a specialist, so it could take some time. I have contributed a small piece of genealogy of my family to ancestry.com that should be readable in a few days.

Claude

I am the granddaughter of Laura Detienne, Champeau. I believe Laura was born to Victor Josephine DeBeru. They were from Belgium they lived in the Bay Settlement, by Green Bay, WI. Great grandfather was a painter, he painted ceilings walls in churches. They had nine children, Alex, Josephine married George White, she died in about 1929, then george married Octavia, Julies, and Jean married William Hillman. I hope someone can help me find out more about these people or any information on the churches that Victor painted in. Please email me. Would also like any infor from Belgium. Thanks Pat
