Carol....I'm Richard's daughter, Donna. I remarried in '08, hence the Culetto name. I haven't seen you in years!! I no longer speak to my mother---long story. I have photos of my grandfather (Big Richard) and Ernie on the wall in my youngest son's room. Matthew is the spitting image of my father and my older son, Tyler, looks just like my grandfather. Please contact me.....my email is DonnaLCuletto@aol.com.

John DEUBELL donates ship to U. S., war of 1812 news online

Hi,

I just posted an old newspaper article reporting that John H. DEUBELL of Savannah, GA, had outfitted a 113-ton schooner and donated it to the service of the United States free of charge during the War of 1812. Wow! This was scanned from an original issue (NOT microfilm!) of The War newspaper (NY, yes, published especially for the war!) dated August 15, 1812, and you can see it online here:

http://theoldentimes.com/johnhdeubell12war1812.html

I hope it's helpful!

Barbara
http://theoldentimes.com/war_news.html
http://theoldentimes.com/old_news_ga.html
http://theoldentimes.com
He was killed before he know he was to have a son also named Richard he died at age 24 leaving a daughter Donna now grown. My aunts name was Alice Trautvetter. There was also a brother Ernie Deubel also killed in the war. I think their fathers name was Frank. If they are related to you I have pictures of them.

I am looking for lineage of John J Deuble of Luckey, Ohio, who resided there in 1911. John was the cousin of Daniel Hager, which would make John's mother a Hager. Daniel was born in Luckey, Ohio April 30, 1858. His father was Henry Hager who was born in Germany. There would also have been a sister or Daniel, Anna, who married a Stetson, who settled in Walkerville, Michigan. Henry had a brother Jacob.
