I have a Maude Marian Devanney in my line, born Dec 31st 1873. (dates seem to work) at 10 Grafton St. Halifax Nova Scotia. Daughter to Robert A. Devanney and Catherine Murphy, Grand daughter to Patrick Devanney and Matilda Bailey, Great grand daughter to Robert H. Devanney (of Westmeath Ireland) and Bridget Hamil (Kilkenny Ireland) and Possible Gr Gr grand daughter to Henry Devanny and Ann Cambell of Noughavel Westmeath Ireland.
Maude's younger brother Robert J. Devanney was my great grandfather.
Naming her son Robert Francis seems to make sense as Robert is a highly used family name (found in 7 out of 8 generations), Francis was also the name of her brother that died as an infant of 10 months in 1888.
