I've traced successfully my ancestry back through my Great Great Grandfather James Willis Devenport. His father was J. B. ( I have no idea what that stands for ) Devenport ( maybe Davenport - my father had a first cousin named Davenport ). J. B., born about 1812, came out of South Carolina and I lost track of him in the 1860 Census for Wood Co., Texas ( Quitman ). James Willis, his wife, and one of his sons James Holder Davenport and wife are all buried in an obscure
Hunt Co., Texas cemetery. I have photos of all the tombstones. My question is, can ANYONE take me any further up this tree to J. B. and / or beyond? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
