Below is information I have on Barent DeWitt and wife Sarah Van Tassel. There are baptisms for five children and they are also related to have had sons Andreas b. 1695 and Titus b. c. 1715. Titus must have been born prior to 1715 when as "Tytus Dewiedt" he witnessed the Will of Peter Van Este of Raritan, Somerset County, New Jersey dated 10 Feb 1727/8 unless there was another Titus DeWitt. I am also including the grandchildren below of Barent DeWitt and Sarah Van Tassel. Many in the past have speculated as to the identity of some of these DeWitts and which families they belong to.
Other than definite baptism records some of these children are conjecture and speculation. Has anyone or is anyone doing extensive research on these families to identify the several DeWitts with the name Peter, Paulus, Isaac, etc. I would appreciate responses from anyone researching these
families or if there are baptisms found in some of the Dutch Reformed Churches that I am missing. I have baptism dates for some below, but not sure of which church as they were recorded in the past by other researchers.
