I have just gone back 1 more generation of my Duesbury family and found William Duesbury comes from Cannock in Staffordshire. Born C 1700 and died 1768 in Derby He moved to Derby with his son William Duesbury (7 Sept 1725/1786) as he started the Royal Crown Porcelain factory there in 1755.I have the family in Derby and onto the emigration to Australia by George Tunnicliffe Duesbury in 1863.Hope this helps you and I would love to fill in the Cannock relis too if possible. My email address would be prob easier to contact,lynn_milligan@hotmail.com.au Hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Scott

Does your late grandfather have a sister named Dorothy North? If so, I have talked to her through the email, have not talked to her in a while.

The two brothers you mentioned from England, is one named Richard and the other Joseph? If so, we share the same relatives.

Looking forward to your reply.

Roberta
I am at a standstill, and hope to break it after the first of the year. My best help has come from the free lookups. The people have been wonderful at looking for church records for me. In fact that is how I found the Danko line. Good luck to you and I hope that we will find a connection. Katrina

Hi

I am looking up Dodd, Dando, Porter and Sockett from Huntington. I have found quite a few using rootsweb and ancestry .com I find that many church records are not reflected in ancestry.com. Do you have any other good sources? Hope your search is going well. I hope to have a web site up soon with my tree in it. currently mine is on genesconnected.com

Dewsbury/Duesbury families of Huntington and Cannock

I am researching my ancestors John Duesbury and his wife Sarah, his son, Joseph Dewsbury and his wife Hannah Wood, and their daughter, Harriet, in addition to the siblings of these three generations.

I have most christening records and marriage records. I am however looking for the marriage record of John Duesbury and wife Sarah. He was from Huntington and she from Lapley. Their marriage probably took place before 1802 when their first child was christened in Cannock.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone that could give assistance or is researching this line.

With appreciation, Katrina

Dewsbury

I am trying to locate the place of death, perhaps MA or NH for a man whose last name was Dewsbury. He married Maria Wigglesworth, in England, around the 3rd quarter of 1885. She would have been 16 yrs old at the time. They traveled to MA (I have no date) with their baby. Mr. Dewsbury and his child died shortly thereafter. Maria Dewsbury was married again, in either MA or NH, to George Harris. They had 2 children; Harry Earl Harris, born 1900, and Elsie Harris. Anyone have any info to help me out or any ideas where I can trace all this info?
