Classification: Query
Surnames: GARRETSON, GREER, HAYNES, HOOPER, NORRIS, PAXSON
My link is with Mary Jane b/1832, in Dillonvale, Mr. Pleasant, Jefferson co., Ohio d/o David b/1803 and Sarah Paxton.
Mary Jane m/ 1856 to George HAYNES b/1829 in England.
Attempting to connect my lonely Sarah Paxton/Paxson b/1810 VA. m/1830 in Jeff Co., David DeYarmon b/1803 in Philadelphia, PA.
In the 1820 census I find a Sarah Paxton with listing
2 1 1 2 - - 1 1 1 1 - - - - 3
ALSO, passing through is an Amos Paxton b/about 1804. He and above David DeYarmn traveled to Iowa. Amos stayed and married. David's sister, Sarah Ann, m/Nathan Crowley in Jeff co., and later traveled to Iowa. First wife of Amos died & Sarah Ann's husband, Nathan, died. Amos marries Sarah Ann.
ALSO, living in Jeff. co. is a James H. Paxson b/1807 of Loudoun Co., VA, m/Nancy Rouse (sp?) in 1846. First child, George W. was b/1841 with second child, Elizabeth, b/1847.
Sarah & David, James & Nancy are buired HIghland Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
ALSO, there is an Eaton Paxton, b/about 1827 in PA. Possible wife, Luiza (ten years older in 1850 census) with a son, Thomas, that marries Tabitha Blazer.
There is another possible kin, (don't know details) Thomas Paxton b/1801-1812..
Any assistance/additions/corrections appreciated
Audrey
