Died from a Blood Vessell in his neck bursting.

in color than his hair which looked black by a picture taken of

Notes for ROXANNA COBB:
ROXANNA COBB, born 1859 died 1942, wife of William Henry Ezell
Roxanna was married to William Henry Ezell who later died 6 May 1915
she was later found living with her daughter Minnie Ezell who was
married to George Brewton,in Baldwin County of the year 1920.
I was told by Preston Lee Ezell my Uncle that he was inform that
she had Indian blood in her and thought it Perhaps the Creek tribe.
The Creek tribe formerly living in Alabama,Georgia, and North Florida
now living in Oklahoma.
After looking at the Census Feb.1920 her age is 59 and born Florida,
and her Mother born Florida, but her Father only shows him born the
United States. I have a pictograph which shows her sitting on a log
with her husband and two children, she has a long white dress and
in her right hand is said to be a Bible, her hair I conclude was black
and parted in the middle perhaps tied in back, and also a thin body.

They say that Peter L. Diamond's father, John Diamond was known as "white grandpa" because of his long white beard. And Eliza Wells Ezell Diamond was known by some as "white grandma" because of her late-in-life second marriage to "White Grandpa". So did Eliza marry John Diamond and her daughter with Jesse (1st husband) marry John Diamond's son (whom he had with Mary Ann Johnson), Peter L. Diamond. Anyone who has clearer info. on this would help. Thanks, Helen

According to the 1930 Census he was 37 and when he married he was 27.
The 1930 census has him listed as Curtis F.
Also the Census has him as being born Escambia, Florida and his father also Florida.
The Cenus also dictate his Livelihood as a Bootlegger.
But my father and ratatives knew him as Curtis Tanger.
So if the Census say his middle name is "F", than it is wrong.
Curtis Tanger Ezell was very tall man with large hands and black hair
and his hair he had all his life, he also had dark skin and as
told by my mother Betty Jean maiden name Lawrence now Campbell said
his eyes was blue looking and had a wide nose.
His first wife was name Esther Blanche Steel, his second wife was
name Roxy Cobb, my mom said don't get it confused with his mothers
name who was also Roxy Cobb, later I found it spelled Roxanna, but
on the early 1900 Census his mothers name was Roxy, Curtis Tanger was
also one of the builders of the old Pensacola Bay Bridge not the new
one. Preston Lee Ezell his son said he worked in a Saw Mall too,
but most of the time he was a Bootlegger.

THIS IS A LETTER ESTHER HAD WRITTEN TO RUBY AND COOTER.
Pensacola 9-4-84, My dear son and I love you so much. I wonted to write to you.
I never get a chance to set down and talk to you like I wont to.
But God has Been telling me in my mind and I must write it now while I cam.
Listen Closely so you will understand, you know some of my Past. but not all of it.
I lived in hell for a long time.
Everything I touched turn out wrong. My troubles were caused by miss treatment. And I brought it on myself.
By Not living rite, I did not love nobody, not even myself. I had my Darling children and loved them so much.
I did not know what to do, are a way. But if I had listen to my Dear old Dad and Mother, I would have saved a lots of stuff from wrong. But just a little white sin grows Bigger everyday if we continue doing them. Then we have to Reap them. As sure as the world stands. It might not Be in the same way But we Reap it just the same. Will you do this for mama I wont Be here to tell you I love you always.
Please stop rite now and ask God to keep you. Quit everything that is an enemy to Your Body. And don't curse are use no bad Language. Just say this verse everyday it will help you can't Control Yourself alone. You must Believe from the Bottom of your heart. You can have will power if you only ask. Its free Darling, I know Because I have tried it, do this for me.
Ruby and little Robert he needs you so Bad. I know he would Be so happy to come home to a sober loving father.
You can change him into a god loving son By letting him see what God has done for you.
Ruby is a Good god loving person. Wouldn't it make lots of your people happy to know you love God,
Well enough to give up the old Devil, kick that old Devil out and God wont let him come Back.
If I could, I would help you kick all your troubles so far away you would never think of them again.
If you don't try to help yourself the Lord can't do anything unless you are willing, and have faith,
Try it and see.
Here is the daily verse.
God give me the faith and strength to help the things I can. And the will power and strength to Bare the things I can not help.
I love you, I love you God and I love me.

He was Baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy
Spirt on the 24th day of January 1993 by Pastor Dr. Alan Damron
Woodridge Baptist Church Mobile, Alabama.
Curtis, was born the 27th of June 1953 in Camp Gordon Georgia, County
Richmond. The Hospital was a U-S Army Hospital. He lived at 3050
Deans Bridge Road, his father was 24 and mother 22 years of age at the
time of his birth.
While he lived on Deans Bridge Road Curtis was ran over by a car "Studebaker" owned by his parents. Unknowingly, his sister Carolyn was playing in the car, hit the stick shift out of position and the car started rolling back and injuring Curtis, had it not been for the sand he covered himself with it certainly may have killed him. He was rushed by his father to Fort Gordon Hospital Bass on 16,March,1956, and was treated there for fracture of 7th 8th 9th and 10th ribs on the left side anteriorly, and a small tear, posterior surface, right lobe of liver, Ether was used showing fair status.
Although his memories coming up or few he tells of some, he recalls
one of moving around a lot for instance California, Orange Texas,
Dallas Texas, Henderson Texas, and Tennessee were some places, but
where-ever they moved he recalls returning back to Mobile, Alabama.
While we lived in Mobile we moved to Duval St., Broad St., Texas St.,
Selma St., also in Crichton, he also recalls some of the schools he
attended which was as followed Erwin Graighead, Russell, Arlington,
and Woodcock School.
When Curtis was young it was a time of watching television, like the show I love Lucy, Captain Kangaroo, Howdy Doody: hosted by Bob Smith, Lassie show, Mickey Mouse show, The Rifle Man, and The Long Ranger.
He recalls hearing on radio and Television the day Kennedy was shot, and the day when bullets killed Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy.
Curtis's father dranked heavily but when it was time to work it was tugs
or some kind of boat. He knew of all kinds of boatmen some would
stop by the house where a great amount of drinking was done, this was
often a recurrence as Curtis was growing up.
One thing comes to mind was a time when Curtis's parents had taken
him and all his brothers and sisters downtown to the state docks
where there was a bar standing on pilings in the water by the shore.
Close to the wharf where the boats would come in to unload there
wares, you would find banana's laying around green and still hard on the wharf.
It was at that bar, in a car setting and waiting for both parents to come out.
There was many of early settlers in America but I will only write about the line of ancestries from Curtis's lineage, including his brothers and sisters some will be only part of information of stories given to a possibility of English on the family of Styring's and a possibility of Viking Origins also. This information on Styring can be found in a book located at the Mobile Library called THE STYRON (STYRING) FAMILY IN AMERICA by Dora Adele Padgett, copy right 1966, and more Styring information in an other book called "NELSON ROOTS" VOL. I. and II., and if you care looking up the book called THE HISTORY OF JACKSON COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI you will find the Bangs and Clark Family, also going a little further at the Library the book called THE BOSARGE FAMILY, there is the Clarks and Dickens Families. Death Certificates were much help along with what information I have gotten from my family and other Source"s such as Betty Clark Rodgers and Ruth Bang of Mosspoint Mississippi, who I had the pleasure to meet good old Mr. Leon Raley who would talk about the BAUDRAU and JULLIET, BARBARINE, COULAR, QUAVE, CHOVIN all of France Origins and BANG also found HINGLE, coming from the German -Coast.
As not to get ahead of my self let's start with the Viking Origins. The Vikings, hardy rovers of the sea, in their brief heyday (800 to 1050 A.D.) penetrated the heart of Russia, conquered England and traveled to America. These Norsemen left a permanent mark on Europe.
Across the plains of Russia as far south as Turkey went the Swedish warriors and traders. Danes and Norwegians crossed the North Sea to northern France, England, Iceland and American continent. They came to England first as pirates, than as warlike traders and
finally as settlers. This Chapter will dwell only briefly on the Viking beginnings of the Styring family, as the subject is covered in a study of this family by Harold K. Styring of Sheffield, England, entitled "Earls Without Coronets" (The Styr Dynasty), published in 1965 by the author, who has specialized in the history of this family. In his book, he traces the history of the Vikings of the Styr dynasty in Scandinavia, the Danes in Britain, their dispossession by the Normans, and the growth of the family by intermarriage with Norman families, resulting in the establishment of the Styring family in England. Drawing on the ancient Norse sagas for his source, Mr. Styring states that Styr is not a family name, inasmuch as family names as such did not exist in early times, but was originally the name of a Scandinavian dynasty which is identtified, through various explorations, with geographical place names all over Europe. Many European place names reflect the Styr influence, such as Styria, a province in Austria, Stiring-Wendel in Germany, the town of Styra in the Ukraine, the Styr River in Poland, not to mention many places in Norway and Sweden. Styr history begins with Styr the Strong, of Uppsala, Sweden, (ca. 700 A.D.), from whom was descended Styrbjorn of Uppsala, the most feared Viking of his day, (ca. 900 A.D.). This Styrbjorn married Thrya, daughter of King Harald Bluetooth of Denmark.
Thyra's brother was Sweyn Forkbeard, father of Canute, who was King of England 1016 to 1035. Styrbjorn and Thyra had a son Thorkel, or Thorgils, who came to England at the time of the Danish invasions and became a powerful Earl.
Thorkel's son Ulf was a strong supporter of King Canute, who grouped the various shires in England into blocks and set over them as rulers Earls chosen from among his supporters and relatives. The family of Styr participated prominently in this period of England history when the Danes ruled. Yorkshire was the center of early Styr settlements and the younger lines eventually became the Styring family. Many place names in Yorkshire are indicated with Styr as a base, such as Stirestorp, Stearsby, Styrrup or Estirape, and the lost village of Styringham, near Woller in Northumberland where a later Styrbjorn was Earl of Deira, one of the tiny Kimgdoms which comprised early England. Complicated as ancient genealogy is, references in important historical studies by experts which deal with this early period mention the prominence of many who were named Styr. Authorities of profound scholarship in historic research may be cited.
Sir William Dugdale in his "Baronage of England" refers to a certain Sigen, "daughter of a rich citizen, named Styr, son of Ulf." George Poulson, author of "The History of the Seigniory of Holderness in the East Riding of the County of York," makes reference to Ulf, Danish possessor of Aldburgh, "who is supposed to have lived in the time of King Canute, as well as of Edward the Confessor." Poulson quotes an extract from an ancient manuscript where Ulf is styled "Consul et Insignis Comes."This is evidence that Ulf possessed a great estate in Deira, the ancient kingdom, now modern Yorkshire, probably granted to him by King Canute for assisting him in these northern parts. Today there are many people in Norway, Sweden and Denmark who bear some form of the Styr name, such as Styren, Steren, Styris - and even a few Styrings. A prominent citizen of Oslo, Norway, of Swedish birth, is Ulf Styren, Managing Director of the Mo-I-Rane Steel Works. It is of interest to note that Prince Philip's official lineage published in the Illustrated London News at the time of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II traces one line of his descent from King Harald Bluetooth.
"THE STYRON (STYRING" ( Nancy Litchfield grandmother side of the family )
FAMILY IN AMERICA" By Dora Adele Padgett, which was a gift to the
Mobile Library by Mr. William Chaddick, in this book it explains
the Styring Family in England as quoting as saying, In modern England
the name Styring is comparatively rare, found mostly in the West
Riding of Yorkshire in the vicinity of Sheffield and Leeds.
"Family Names" by Thomas G. Gentry, published in Philadelphia, Pa.
in 1892, states: "The name Styring is of Anglo-Saxon derivation, a
good old English name based on the name Styer which means ruling,
government, discipline. The suffix ing denotes offspring of, hence
Styer is the family name of descendants of an early Styr."
Harold K. Styring, referred to in the previous chapter as a compiler
of Styring family history, agrees that Mr. Gentry is on the right
track, but not quite accurate as the basic name is Styr of Viking
origin and the suffix ing should be interpreted as "of Styr" meaning
in the Danish or Swedish, "young" or "son of".
"English Surnames in 1601" by F.K. and S. Hitching, published in
1910, lists only one reference to the name, Styringe of Colne" in
Lancashire, not far from the West Riding of Yorkshire.
A sampling of parish records from all parts of England leads to
the conclusion that the name has been confined mainly to Yorkshire.
Here the family was numerous in the middle 1500s, and for some time
thereafter, and was evidently a family of worth and dignity.
The wills on file in the 1500s and 1600s indicate that the Styrings
owned property and were concerned with the proper distribution of it.
Many of them were yeomen (freeholders next below the rank of
Gentleman) and others were entitled to use the designation"Gentleman"
after their names.
The Generation of George Styring who was married to Mary Cason
is part of the lineage that is pertain to me, which is as followed:
George Styring sons were first John Styring I., Henry Styring,
George Styring who married Mary Salter.
John Styring I. Married Abigail last name unknow, they had three
sons, first John Styring II., George Styring, than finally my
connection,Samuel Styring who married Hannah Hill, daughter of
Wise Hill. Hannah and Samuel Styring had two sons John H. Styring
and Littleton Styring, also six daughters Miriam, Elizabeth, Rebecca,
Varity, Hannah and finally my connection Abigail Styring born 1778
North Carolina later married Joseph Nelson, there child Lovey S.
Nelson finally married Metzger Asa Litchfield born 1797, Lovey and
Metzger Asa, had a child Nancy Litchfield born Ala. she is the
one who married Silas Lawrence, this is were all my presence Lawrence
family came from.
These family lines are particularly interesting because of the
intermarriages with neighboring families in Carteret County, whose
surnames are identified with geographical local place names.
The Nelson family into which John Styron II. married is a disting-
uished family in the Carteret County area. The first ancestor may
have been John Nelson, who in 1708 patented 260 acres on Core Sound
on the north side of the North River. (Land Grants, 1-257).

Notes for MARGIE ANN KIRBY:
MARGIE ANN KIRBY
Margie Ann Kirby, married Curtis Eugene Ezell on April 24, 1992, at
the age of 40, in the Courtyard of Mobile City Hall, Mobile, Alabama.
Margie was born to Mary Margaret Crooker and Clifton Lyle Kirby on
June 9, 1952, in Booth Hospital, Covington, Kentucky.
One coincidence is that Margie is 1st cousin to Elizabeth Doris
McArthur who is married to Curtis's brother Jimmy Ezell, so she is
humorously referred to either as "cousin" or "sister".
While in Kentucky, Margie's parents had two other children, Elizabeth
Julia and Gary Lynn. When they moved from Kentucky to Chickasaw, Ala
bama. Being much to young to remember anything clearly from that
period, she goes on to Mobile, Alabama where they lived in the old
Birdville housing project on Yellowhammer Drive at the end of the
cul-de-sac, the house to the right. She remembers that she used to
play red-light, mother-may-I, and other games in the large field
area. In the exact center of the field there was a square concrete
swimming/wading pool which no one could really fill up with water in
the summer. They were surrounded by shallow ditches (which to a five
to six year old where pretty deep) filled with minnows and crawfish
which they tried to catch with pieces of fatback and string. At this
location, two other children were born, John Merle and Carol Lee.
Clifton Kirby worked off and on as a cab driver with either the
Checker cab or Yellow cab company, Margie is not sure which.
From this period, Margie had measles, chicken-pox, mumps, etc. the
usual childhood afflictions. From here Margie is going to go to
the first person syntax so she can tell this story from her point of
view.
Margie had a few childhood friends. The Garrisons', the Hatleys' and
she remembers Irene Stevenson ( she can't recall what she looks like) but
she was her best friend. After receiving her vaccination shot from
Dr. Gordon Carroll on Baltimore Street, she started the 1st grade at
Arlington Elementary School. Going there until the fourth grade
they moved to Oaklawn Housing project on 1010 Baltimore Street
right next to Taylor Park. She said they had some of the best times she can
remember there. Being pretty much a loner, she used to go to the
park and spend hours there. At that time, Margie was somewhere between
the ages of about 8 and 9. they stayed until she was about 13 when
they moved to Theodore, Alabama. However, on Baltimore Street, this
was the time the Beatles and the rest of the British Invasion came
to being. The time of her first crush on a boy named Eddie Smith;
the summer nights of baseball being played at the park; going
swimming at the "big" pool. This was also the time of the Civil
Rights movement being birthed when several blacks came to the pool
and several police cars were called. It was a near riot.
After Margie left Arlington School, She attended Oakdale School (which no
longer is in existence) from the fourth to sixth grades. Seventh
grade and part of the eighth she went to Mae Eanes Junior High. At this
time her father really started his heavy drinking and there lives were
slowly beginning to be a torture.
Margie's parents had purchased an acre lot in Theodore in 1962, and for
a number of years they spent time there clearing it off and almost
killing there selves in the process. By this time there Dad had been working
at the Alabama Shipyard on and off for a number of years. During the
holidays they would layoff a number of people so their holidays were
misery.
Their Dad's alcoholism manifested and their mom who had not only had him to contend with but a overbearing mother-in-law.
While they were in Theodore, her brother Clifton Leonard was born.
Going to Theodore High School was hell on earth. to Margie, Not only were they
tormented at home but at school Margie said she would never wish the experience of
of attending this school on her worst enemy. There were a group of
boys led by ring leaders, Matt Hall and Billy Turner, that made her
want to commit suicide. Name calling, rotten eggs thrown and
pushing and shoving were a part of the daily routine for Margie; it's a wonder
Margie could concentrate on school work at all during that time.
As Margie spoke she said this is getting to depressing but it has to be said, a biography can only give an idea of the past.
Margie went on and said, "I am just telling what has happened to me in
my life and a lot of it is not pretty sweetness and light".
Finally, her Dad could not hold on to the property any longer and they
moved back to Mobile on 1100 Marine Street where Margie started at Murphy
High School from the 10th to 12th grade; she graduated in 1970.
The situation at school was a lot better for Margie; no one harassed, insulted,
or beleagered her there. She was able to recover a little self-esteem
through her school work. In the 11th grade she submitted a oil painting
of Mr. Spock, for consideration to the
Fan Randlette Art Honor Society at Murphy she was selected for
membership to the club. That was in 1969.
In her senior year, Margie was a member of the Stage Crew, Special Chorus
(that year we did "Oklahoma" as the class musical) and she won the
part of "Ellen". On the stage crew they did sets for "Take Her, She's
Mine". In her homeroom, #158, Margie spearheaded the X-mas door decoration
and food for the needy box. Also, Margie was homeroom representative
for the school's newspaper, "The High-Times". As you can tell, if
Margie had the confidence and support of her parents, it is no telling how
far she could have gone.
Now comes the time of the Senior Prom. Margie had a date!! Two friends
of hers, Melody MacDuffie and Susan Brown, sort of got Margie together
with Roger Denginger. It was a miracle. she had never had a date
before in her life. He really didn't ask Margie to go but she didn't care
if Melody and Susan pushed them together. It was her first and only
date in school; Margie was terribly gauche and naive.
Life at home was pure, unadulterated hell but she survived somehow.
After graduation, Margie attended 20th Century College, a local business
school from 1970 to 1972 and graduated with an Executive Secretary
Degree. She really wanted to pursue study in art and music and had
been accepted for entrance to Yancy State Junior College in Bay
Minette but that was squashed by her father since Margie had no money to
attend and he wasn't about to put Margie through college; there was not
a dime to be had for her education whatsoever.
At this time, things were really from bad to worse.
Her mother was unable to cope and contend with his actions and nearly had breakdowns but somehow managed to hold them together. Living in fear and dread, Margie managed to get a job
with the Mobile County Board of Health in the Vital Statistics
Department under a Mr. Pope. Mr. Pope had work that would have
taken a career veteran years to sort and straighten out, not a green
untried girl fresh out of school. In March of 1973, Margie resigned and
moved back in with her parents but vowed to get another job as soon
as possible. Taking a number of Civil Service tests, she passed them
but was never called. She re-registered with the Merit System and
stayed out of her father's way and out of his line of vision; but
he called her names, her father told her she was a failure and would never amount to anything. This from a man who was fired from his job of 14 years for
drinking on the job; in and out of jail for DWI and couldn't hold
a job down because of his alcoholism and record.
She said I know this sounds like revenge and vindictiveness but this is what
was happening in Margie's life and is not even half of everything that
could told but we don't have that much paper.
In May of 1973, Margie landed a job with the Inspection Services Departmen
moved out and have never looked back. She was on her own and free of
her father's clutches and fear.
Closing this chapter, Margie's parents is deceased and her
sisters and brothers are carrying on with their lives, but that is
their story to tell.

LOUISE:
Let me start off by saying I am not a good writer so please excuse an
misspelled words or not proper English. First let me tell you where
got my name Alice came from my mom's first cousin and my middle name
Louise came from my great great grandmother Louise Bang on my mom's
side. Growing up with William Ezell and Betty Lawrence was very hard
we were always moving around mostly from one house to another in
Mobile, we did travel to different states such as Texas, California
and Tennessee. We were poor and most of the time were left alone wit
only our older half sister Carolyn Shumock to care for us. One day I
can recall we were left in Creighton, with no food we went over across
a fence in the neighbors yard to pick figs off her tree. W e had a
little flour so we mixed it with water and cooked this mixture on a
iron we used the figs for topping, pretty primitive but we survived.
This story is typical of our lives until I reached the age of 12 where
the children were separated some went to Wilmer Hall, me and JoAnn
went to California to live with our Uncle Vernard, and Aunt Doris. We
lived there for 2 years then returned to Mobile. Curtis was staying
with our grandma Lawrence, and Danny, Jimmy, Donna, and Robert were in
Wilmer Hall. I stayed in Creighton where mama lived until I got a job
at the Krystal which was located on Ann and Government. I met my
present husband Robert G. Brown while working at the Krystal, I was 17
at the time and he was 23.

Notes for DANNY LEE EZELL:
As was told by Danny 9 Oct. 1993:
It was his first Holloween, and he was approximately Five years old and he was staying with his Grandma Esther (Ezell) Green, Maiden Name
Steel. She took him out for Holloween and waited while he Knocked on the door. He was Dressed up in a Devil's outfit. As the door opened a middle
aged woman, upon seeing him, demanded him to get away from her, or she would get the broom after him.
Danny, with tears, ran back to where his Grandma was and started to explain to her what happened.
At first she was mad but then, with laughter, said,Don't worry, we'll get you some Candy." An other important happening was at a time he was Five as he recalls,
he was with is Grandma Esther again, and there in the hallway were two people laid out on two singled beds with bandage's from head to toe.upon seeing this he asked his Grandma who they were, her replied
was that's your mom and dad laying there. "They were in a car accident" Later in life as memory recalls there was an experience on Duval St. Danny was probably Nine or Ten, and was riding a bicycle down a path
close to the road in front of the Hollingsworths house when a car turned in the drive way, unable to stop in time he hit the car. The Driver of the car was some kin to the Hollingsworth coming to visited them.

THE SWISSAIR CRASH
A CBC Radio documentary on the people affected by the crash
The National's feature reports on the Swissair disaster
CBC Morning's Norma Lee MacLeod talks to reporter Rob Gordon about the night the plane went down.
Swissair Tragedy: an indepth look from CBC News Online
It's dark along the coast of Nova Scotia at night. There are no streetlights in the rural communities at midnight. The only lights on the beach were lights from tv cameras, ambulances and firetrucks.
The scene was a frenzy.
People desperate to do something, to know something. Was anybody alive? Could anybody survive that kind of impact?
I asked a firefighter what he knew, He snapped at me. He wasn't allowed to talk he said. We had "words" as they say. I told him rescue workers had said the same thing at Westray - the mining disaster where 26 men had died in 1992. The truth hadn't been known there for months. A few minutes later we passed each other again. We stopped and both said we were sorry. We just felt overwrought. He pointed at a firetruck slick with the heavy mist of the night. "There's a man with a scanner there," he said. "Ask if you can listen with him."
I heard voices that night that, for me, are still the voices of this tragedy.
There were the fishermen who ran from their homes and into their boats to search for survivors; the one fishermen whose voice broke as he told the others he'd found the body of a woman and was bringing her on board his boat.
There was the captain of the navy ship Preserver directing the spontaneous search and rescue squad as best he could amongst the cries for more body bags.
One fisherman, Robert Conrad, has described that night as a time when we looked into the souls of "our unrehearsed selves." There was no planning. No time. Fishermen acted on instinct to help. Television crews decided not to shoot video of the carnage out of respect.
Our "unrehearsed selves" showed some courage and some grace that night.
The hours and days that followed are filled with images of light in the darkness. A helicopter searchlight over the black waters of the Atlantic; a woman carrying a single sunflower over the grey rocks of Peggy's Cove in memory of a loved one; the sun on the water as another boat loaded with debris from the crash pulls into the dock.

Jimmy Stewart Ezell was born December 18,1961 in Henderson,Texas. He is the son of William Eugene Ezell and Betty Jean Lawrence. When Jimmy, was taken home from the Hospital ,he was in a clothes
basket, his legs hanging out, and his eyes were still closed. I recall my father wetting his eyes to open them; later we moved back to Mobile. On April 3,1994, Jimmy, told me that he recalled being at Wilmer Hall
in 1972, and Danny Ezell staying there with him, Later, Robert Ezell in 1973. One time he recalls being sent to Birmingham,Alabama, and staying at
the Gate Way, and later he ran-a-way and hitched back to Mobile. He was only 16 years of age at the time. After being picked up, Jimmy was taken to grandma Lawrence's place where Raymond Lawrence his uncle stayed too. He informed them he was related to Raymond Lawrence and after finding out he was 16 years old, he was set free from Wilmer-Hall. Before Jimmy came to Wilmer Hall he rcalls living on Duval Street, where he had taken coke bottles from houses in Murray Hill Sub., selling them for change.
Jimmy Ezell later married October 1, 1987, in Mobile to (Libby) Doris Elizabeth Stanley,(maiden name McArthur). She was born July 20,1954, and is the daughter of Evelyn Lois Crooker & Dewey Carl McArthur.
