Mabel was married to an Ackerly. She was a dear friend of my grandmother and died sometime before 1981. She was quite old at the time. She told me that her father or grandfather had named Valley Stream "because he liked the alliteration." I shall always remember that story she told me. I have a very nice picture of Mabel.

Mabel would always give me a hug and a kiss when she came to visit.
