Hi everyone! A new book came out in 2004:"Les Immigrants Allemands au Québec" Free translation is:The Germans Immigrants in Quebec. The author stated that Jean Decker was the first german immigrant in quebec province and that he converts in Montreal, Quebec(in that time known as New-France) in 1706 when he was baptised. Unfortunately, i could'nt put my hand on a copy but, i guess, that the book is findable on the net. From the german Decker to the english Dicker to a frenchised Dicaire we may have two deformation which is misleading our search on the location of Hauzerburg.I know that some Dicaire married with some Titly, known of german descent from Essen(Hesse in french) has i've found in my ancestry. This tends towards the affirmation of the author.
