Another Brave Goes to the “Land of Promise”
The Indian by the name of Alexander who was shot during a row with Simpson Dick, another Indian, east of the city Wednesday evening of last week, passed to the happy hunting grounds on Friday evening. He refused to allow the wounded leg, which was almost torn to fragments, to be amputated and the mortification which followed caused his death.
Sampson Dick, who is alleged to have done the shooting, is still in the woods.
