Hi Julie-Ann,
James Dickie (your William Wilson Dickie's eldest brother), was my Great Great Grandfather, so I imagine we're the same Dickie generation.
I live in West Yorkshire now, but was born on a farm near East Kilbride. Spent a lot of time as a kid up there, so I'm familiar with Rutheran and Rigg farms near Chapelton. These feature in my family line for a number of generations.
As you may know William Wilson Dickie is well documented in that area as a significant engineer and agriculturalist.
Would be very interested in your line, are you linked to the Ayrshire Dickie's and the drop forging company ?
Regards
