Sorry, I've no immediate or even near distant relatives that I know were from Holland. The area that my ancestors came from was Westphalia near Frankfurt. Although the name Dieckmann is Dutch and means one who attends dikes, that was the surname on the matriarch's tombstone. Her husband's tombstone had Dickmann and their infant daughter was Dickman. I think it depended on who was carving, how much it cost per letter, and what the mood was at the time!
All my ancestors were farmers: the men Methodists and the women Lutheran. Hope you eventually find a connection.
