We have a Dickman/Dickmann/Deickmann who came from Lippe Detmold to Missouri (via New Orleans probably) sometime early to mid 1800s. His name was Wilhelm and he married in 1840s. They had a child/children and according to his obit in MN in 1889, his wife died along with a child in 1847 or so. He then married a Maria/Mary Klein in 1850 and came to Minnesota in 1852 where they settled in Inver Grove and raised a daughter by his first wife and several other children. Does any of this sound familiar? He had named one child Conrad but I believe that son died as a younger boy.
Would love to hear of a connection with our family. I can connect the Minnesota group but having trouble piecing in the Missouri info with actual facts.
