My ancestor was Henry Dicks born 1774. He moved from Lamaline to Burgeo before 1830.

If you're not aware of it, Joseph Small's history of Burgeo is a great reference and can be found on line. I pieced together a lot of the family history from it.

I've also researched the Burgeo Church records as well as the death records. However, I haven't had time to put it all together although I have the info.

Harold Dicks of North Sydney is a great resource and has done a lot of research, particularly on the Dorset connection. He has posted on this site.
