I live in the Republic of South Africa and was born in Pietermaritzburg 8/8/1948 my father being Samuel Benjamin Dicks my mother Elizabeth Margaret (nee Hall) My father was born 1921 in Ida,Cape Province (Eastern Cape today)My grandfather was a builder and built a number of houses in Primrose,Germiston.
I understand the family came from the UK (of 1820 settler stock.
