Surnames: Dickson, Marshall
A scrap of information in an Allegheny County, PA Marshall family: Joseph Dickson was a sea faring man and an officer in the British navy or army in 1798, prominent in the United Irish movement and later settled near Glasgow, Dickson Iron Works, building iron ships on River Clyde. He had a daughter Mary Margaret Dickson b April 1786 in Ireland, m Frederick Marshall, son of Joseph Marshall, and she d 1888 buried Robinson Run Cemetery, Allegheny County, PA. Frederick Marshall d 1880 buried the same. There is a Steen connection to this Marshall line. No further Dickson, Steen information. Not my line.
