Surnames: Dickson Trotter
Peter Dickson was born 5 February 1829, 7th of 9 children to James Dickson and Jean Trotter who married 31 May 1816 in Edinburgh just before they left Scotland for the USA.

Jean was born 3 November 1796 in Duns Berwickshire, the youngest of 9 children to William Trotter & Elizabeth Henderson.
