John Martin Diebold was my great grandfather. His son, George Ignatz Diebold, was my grandfather and his grandson, Frank (Francis Henry) Diebold was my father. I have been searching for existing pictures of John Martin Diebold and, sadly, have found none. Does anyone have, or have suggestions on where I may find, pictures of him? Does anyone know if there are existing pictures of his Civil War Regiment, the 29th Missouri, Company F? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Edward (Ed) N. Diebold, Sr.
Columbia, South Carolina

Does anyone have an Anna Mary Diebold married to a John Webber in Germany around 1849? They came to Lorain County, Ohio about 1850 with daughters Anna Maria and Barbara Gertrude. Other spellings on the childrens death records for their mother are: Debold, Devault and Therrobalt (Theobald, Thibault). I have extensive information on the family in America but would like to have clues as to where to search in Germany. I have been unable to find any records giving a town there.

I had an Aunt Wanda and she married my dad's brother, Alfred Diebold and I think they had a string of restuarants in Indiana. They had 2 sons, but, I don't know what their names are or were. The sons are probably in their early to late 60's. The family immigrated to Cleveland Ohio and lived there until the children left and went their seperate ways. My dad and my uncle Al had a trailer business many years ago. It was called NEW MOON trailers and as a matter of fact, they built the trailers for the "The Long Long Trailer," with Lucille Ball and Desi Arnez. Maybe you remember the movie? Probably in the late 40's or early 50's. If this is who you were looking for, let me know, my email is wee0207@yahoo.com. Hope this helps.
I am looking for anyone with any information on my grandparents on my Dad's side of the family. My grandparents had 4 children; Robert, Caroline, Alfred and my dad, William Frederick. I would like to know if they immigated from Germany or another international country in the early 1900's. I never knew if my dad was born in US or overseas and came over to the US with my grandparents. My dad's family all passed away at early ages, such as in their 40 and 50's. If you have any information or maybe you are a long lost cousin, I would love to hear from you. My personal email is wee0207@yahoo.com.
Hello, I am looking for information on Catherine Diebold and her family. She was married to Marcus Wingert and they had 11 children. I have a few photos of her, as well as an obit and grave marker, but I can't find any reliable information on her parents or any siblings. Would appreciate any help! I'm not even positive at this point if I have her birthplace correct, though most information points to her being born in New York.
Thanks!

Dorthy Diebold Thompson and John Winborne Thompson were my grandparents. Their daughter, Susie Thompson Bogan was my mother. I know some minor things about my lineage, but probably not much more than what you have posted or collected thus far, but ask away, and I'll see what I might have or know to pass along to you. I may even have a xerox copy of a photo of Isabelle Palmer, but it is a degraded version of the photo. I believe got that copy from Margy Thompson Sher [who is my aunt, their 3rd child]. She might be yet another source for info for your research. I will email her and have her respond to you. I await eagerly to see what info you eventually gather.

My name is Christina Perdomo. My great grandmother was Dorothea Diebold and my great grandfather was John W. Thompson. My grandfather was their son, John Robert Thompson, born in Cleveland Ohio on March 13, 1932. My grandfather married Elizabeth Annie Kalilikane (from Hawaii) on January 17th, 1953. They had two children, one of which is my mother. Both my grandmother, Elizabeth, and my mother are very interested to find other descendants of the Thompson-Diebold-Palmer line. Any more information you might have would be greatly appreciated.
