I'm wondering if any of your Dieck ancestors or associated families came to Wisconsin?
There is a Dieck family connected with the Fritz and Pockat or Pokal familes in Dodge Co., WI, the in Shawano Waupaca Counties near Marion, WI.
Some of the names were similar. My great grandmother was Albertina "Tina," nee Dieck, who married her cousin, (my great grandfather) Julius Pockat.
There were many Pockat, Dieck Fritz families in the Marion, WI area.
Another family, Hoepner or Hepner, was also related.
