Greetings. I am beginning a search on my father's family, the Diecks. His grandfather landed in New York about the time of the Franco-Prussian War with several brothers. We know that one, Rudolph, went on to Australia. Dad's grandfather was Adolph Dieck, and he married Augusta Rebecca Katrina Thole in 1892. Adolph's father was Theo Dieck, and we suspect that he lived in Wanna, Germany. I expect that there is probably little overlap between the Diecks of Wisconsin and the Diecks of New York, but am posting this in hopes that someone might recognize one of the names.
