Elmer F. Diedrich, 64, Oconto Falls, passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at the Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls.

Elmer was born April 28, 1943, in Oconto, to the late George and Lila (Hodgins) Diedrich Sr.

Elmer is survived by three daughters, Mary Benser, Suring; Esther (Randy) Lonzo, Suring; Lila (Joe) McNamer, Oconto Falls; two sons, Elmer (Dora) Diedrich, Senoia, Ga.; Peter Diedrich, Townsend; three brothers, Gordon (Sam) Diedrich, Oconto; Elroy Diedrich, Oconto Falls; George Diedrich Jr., Oconto Falls; three sisters, Rosella (Daryl) Greetan, Oconto Falls; Sharon Ankerson, Oconto Falls; Linda (Ray) DeHut, Oconto Falls; 22 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Nellis.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Deacon Walter Kaszynski officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.

I'm looking for information on Joseph (1840 - 1907) and Louise (Witt) Diedrich (1853? - 1913) in the Alpena, Alexandria, Estelline area of South Dakota. Branch of the family later changed the spelling to Diederick. Joseph was my great grandfather, his son William Carl Diederick (note spelling change) was my grandfather, and Lloyd Diederick was my father.

He was b.3/25/1885, Married Claudia Parkhill. Peter & Claudia's children: George Lavern, Raymond, Robert, Veronia (Diedrich) Merrick, Mildred (Diedrich) Alfson, Violet (Diedrich) Wizner, then Peter & Claudia apparently divorced and one of them remarried because my father George Lavern has a 1/2 brother Arthur Schramm and a 1/2 sister Claudia Bowers. (Bowers is her married name). George Lavern Diedrich b.3/10/1911. Married Lila Hodgins on 5/10/1941. Lila was b. 11/25/1923 & d.12/23/2000. George d. 7/24/1984. George & Lila family is: Rosella Greetan, Elmer , Gloria Nellis, Sharon Ankerson, Gordon , Elroy, Linda DeHut & George Junior.

I am looking for any info on the family of Nicholas and Susanna (Schuh)Diederich. I know a John Peter Diederich was one of several children born to them. Susanna is my great grandmothers sister and I am trying to find any info on these people.
My great grandmother was Eva Schuh and their dad was Bernard Schuh. They both died in Iowa

John Peter was born in Chicago and baptised at St Alphonsus. He later became a priest.

Bernard Schuh was born 24 Feb 1812 and died 28 Aug 1887 in Early Iowa

Eva Schuh Feltes was born 18 Apr 1845 in Grevenich, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and died 16 Nov 1911 in Odebolt, Sac County, Iowa

Nicholas Feltes was born 22 Aug 1842 in Trierweiler, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany and died 14 Nov 1910 in Odebolt, Sac County, Iowa

Fredrick Diedrich b July 10, 1833 in Germany
and died March 10, 1901 in Kewaunee, WI, USA.
He married Frederike Glandt b October 21, 1835
in Germany and died July 4, 1910 in Two
Creeks, WI, USA. They had several children:
Herman Fredrick (my GGrandfather), Chris, Wilhelm,
Charles, Fred, John Minnie.
