SIMON JACOB DIEHL's daughter CATHARINE DIEHL, b. c1765, d. post 9 MCH 1816 signing of the will of her father, m. c1786 JOHN BANSERT /BANTZER/PANTZER/PANZER. Another less likely spelling is BAUSERTONE, found in the 1919 DAR application of MARY ROBERTS, wife of historian CHARLES ROBERTS. Three children baptized at Plainfield Reformed and St. John's EL Easton. All sponsored by known DIEHL relatives.

2. JOHN JACOB BANTZER b. c1789.
3. JOHAN PANTZER b. 11 FEB 1791. NFI.
This family has proven difficult to trace. They are not found in the 1790 US Census. There is a JOHN BANTZER with a large family in the 1800 US Census for Lower Smithfield Twp., Northampton Co., not found in subsequent census records.
