Searching for Witte and Grotjahn Ancestors

I am searching for the Ancestors of both Johanna Marie Augustine Grotjahn B:1843 D:1921 and Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Witte to whom she was married. I do not have any birth dates for Ernst. Johanna's mother's name was Johanna Engel Luise Allewelt and her father was Heinrich Friedrich Christian Grotjahn. I have no dates for them. I also do not have names and dates for Ernst's mother and father. The information I have is limited but I believe they came from the general area of Hanover, Celle, Braunschweig and Wolfsberg. Their children eventually married into the Diekmann family and moved south to Delligsen, Oberthalhausen and Sterbfritz. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi ! I am encouraged by the name pattern, and I do recognize the area as being close to Rehme. My gr. grandfather and his brother Karl did leave siblings behind in Rehme. However nothing was ever said about another brother coming over and they were a very closely nit family and kept in touch. The time we are talking about is the 1860 70. The contact with the family has been kept but a lot of the past has been lost to me. Do you know the religion? That sometimes helps. The grandfather I can go back to was a ferryman on the river Weser, Lutheran and must have had about 5 or 6 children of which my gr grandfather was one......Diekmann is a rather common name in Lippe. Am I touching any common patterns? .Wouldnt it be exciting if we did find a link. Catch you later Pat.N.

Diekmann family

Hi,everyone. I have very little information on the diekmann family tree.
Ausgust Edward Diekmann:?-?
Married Bird Linden: Nov. 1878-May 29, 1966
Their children: Florenz (Diekmann)DePuey May 9,1918-Oct 10, 1989
George Diekmann: Died around 1952,he married a Maragret? I am sure they had children.
Florenz had a child Judith Diekmann from a previous relationship. She was given her maiden name. Florenz had married Raymond DePuey: Nov. 5, 1895-Jun. 9, 1961 and they had a child Sharon Depuey(which is my mother). if anyone knows anything, let me know. Thanks. Melissa

I am looking for the parents and siblings of my great grandmother Clara Maria Katharina Diekmann. Clara was born 28 Oct 1888, married 4 June 1908 (in St. Louis to Richard Terni) and died in 1976 in St. Charles. She had a younger sister named Maragaret. I have photos of Arthur, Alfred, Gerald and Anita but I'm not sure of the relationship to her. Also, Clara had 2 children named Richard, Jr. (Richie) and Clarence Norman Terni (my grandfather). Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, according to the book I have, starts with his life here, however the info that I have which is sketchy at best, shows that Henry William Carl, immigrated to the US, in around 1832. He was born in 1810 in the electorate of brunswick, Luneburg. Supposedly he was an ordained Lutheran minister in Germany, but never was here, no one knows why. At the time of his departure it is said that he said good bye to his parents, one brother and one sister, wether they had more is anyone's guess. I also show that there is another Henry Dickman who was my Henry's nephew, who was also born in Germany. Any of this ring a bell? Let me know, talk to you soon.
Daile
