Hello, My name is Holly Cook McGaughy, my grandmother was Rosa Ellen Diemer Thomas, her father Jacob DeHammer Diemer was born in 1829 in Wattenheim, Bayern, Germany and went to Ohio,then Arkansas. Jacob's wife was Mary Leifer, some have it a Seifer...she was born in 1837 in Ohio, I have a picture of her in my tree online here at ancestry. Thanks for all the info. here on their homeland.Mary picture has her last name spelled Leifer instead of Seifer.
