Services for Althea Diether, 77, of 1443 Goodrich ave, a retired high school teacher, will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday in the Fred W. Johnson Funeral Home 339 N. Snelling ave. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Miss Diether died Saturday in her home. She was born in St. Paul and had lived here all her life. She had taught in the school system for 45 years and was at Central High School when she retired.
She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and also attended Stanford and Columbia Universities. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, the Womens City Club, and the House of Hope Presbyterian Church.
Surviving is a brother, Carl S. Diether, of St. Paul

I guess I probably should have guessed that you were related through Louis.
My great grandmother (Lilian Monroe Taylor) wrote down that Elizabeth
married a Ken McCarter, but she did not know that date of the marriage or
anything else about Ken McCarter.

I was wondering if you have information about Adelaide Laurence (Louis'
wife)? For example, do you know what her middle name was? My information
about Adelaide is spotty at best; it mainly comes from the remembrances of
my great grandmother.
