I am posting this thread as it appears there is some common interest (and ancestry) of some of us having the names
Louis Guillet married to Marie Edesse Choiniere dit Sabourin
(marriage date 28 Feb 1843) in Marieville.
Louis shows on the Canadian census as Guillet and then his
children pick up the surname of Diette.
