J. (or T.) L. Dietz the grandfather of Mary Ann Garwick, my great grandmother who live in Whiteside County, Illinois. She was about 16 in 1887 when he wrote in her autograph book. Signing his name as the above, with "From your grandfather" on "Feb 25, 1887" and "Grand View Dakota". Does this ring any bells?
