My Diggs family members were also enslaved. They lived in Loudoun County, VA (Leesburg area) and subsequently moved to Washington DC. Looking for information on the period they were enslaved in Loudoun County from about 1799 to 1860's. Unfortunately, I have not been able to determine who the slave owners were. I suspect, because descendents of the Digges family originally from England once lived in Loudoun County, VA, that they were at one time the slave owners. Realize I don't have much information, but I am hoping someone will be able to help. Thank you.
