Guiford Diggs b. abt 1801 in Anson County, North Carolina was the son of William and Nancy Diggs. He died in Mississippi. Do not have the name of his wife, but he had at least one son named Jackson W. Diggs born 1831 in Anson County, North Carolina. William Diggs (Guiford's father) was the son of Marshall Diggs (Degge) b. 1732 in York County, Virginia and his wife Ann Snead.
